Full-Time Chaplain

Heritage Hospice Inc. Chaplain works with the Hospice team providing emotional, spiritual, and bereavement support to patients and families. The Chaplain provides and facilitates spiritual, philosophical, and goals and objectives within the hospice and palliative care concept as well as acts as a hospice liaison between community clergy, the patients clergy and Heritage Hospice, Inc. in compliance with federal, state and National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization standards of clinical practice and documentation.

Requirements & Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree plus 2 years of pastoral/chaplaincy experience
  • Preferred Master of Divinity Degree and at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education
  • Knowledge of current trends in spiritual and bereavement care, counseling theories and techniques
  • Computer experience and proficiency required
  • Must be able to access client homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other places independently
